To determine your pace, in ten seconds count how many times your leg comes up and then multiply by six. This rpm is what you should aim to hit.
There are many specialized exercises you will be able to do in your home. Local organizations may also offer fitness classes for people with disabilities. Medical sports clinics are a great place to get referrals.
A good tip in fitness is to look for shoes that comfortably fits your feet. Aim to shop for workout shoes in the evening because your feet are larger at this time. Make sure you have adequate space between your toe and the inside of your shoe. You should have enough room to be able to comfortably wiggle your toes.
